Sing Club Community Performance

We are delighted to present the Sing Club’s live performance on Tuesday 10 April 2018 at 7pm to mark the twentieth anniversary of the signing of the Good Friday Agreement on 10 April 1998.

The Sing Club is a cross community choir which has drawn people from all backgrounds, ages and abilities to share their love of singing.  Led by Siobhan Heaney who uses the ‘SingTonicity’ method, the group met throughout February and March 2018 to participate in workshops where they have experienced relaxation techniques, vocal exercises, breathing and stress relieving exercised, tribal sounds, group unison and harmony singing plus lots of empowering fun and laughter!

Not only have the group been working on perfecting a couple of much-loved songs but they have also, with the help of local singer/songwriter Paddy Nash, created their own song 'A Generation Waits' from shared reflections and discussions on the significance and subsequent impact of the Good Friday Agreement on our communities in Northern Ireland.

The Sing Club project is funded by The Executive Office and managed by Causeway Coast & Glens Borough Council Cultural Services team, supported by Good Relations.
