Limavady Art Group Exhibition Launch
We were delighted to launch Limavady Arts Groups annual exhibition of work on Friday 29 November, 7pm.
Originating from a community painting group which met decades ago in the ‘Old Town Hall’ (as this building was affectionately known as, before it lay derelict for many years until its evolution into the Roe Valley Arts Centre), the group continued meeting at the North West Regional College local campus.
Looking for a new home in 2014, we were overjoyed to welcome them back to the Roe Valley Arts & Cultural Centre. Since then, the group meet every Friday afternoon during their ‘term times’ and they continue to develop their artistic skills, encouraging each other and undertaking painting activities with the guidance of artist Louie Winward.
The exhibition features artwork from many of the participants and includes landscapes and still life, many of which capture the stunning landscapes and costal environments of County Londonderry and Donegal.
Special thanks to Aaron Callan for opening the exhibition. The exhibition continues until 25 December so be sure to call down and have a look, maybe even pick up a piece of art as a special gift for a loved one this Christmas!
