We have some fabulous festive treats in store throughout December including family theatre, family films and Abba Mania!

Roll up for a family screening of Christmas classic Elf on Saturday 15 December at 2pm. Starring Will Ferrell as Buddy, an elf who discovers he’s human, this hilarious film guarantees some festive cheer! There is also an autism friendly screening at 10am.

On Saturday 22 December, the acclaimed Banyan Theatre present the magical tale of The Hedgehog Prince for children aged 5+ years at 1pm. Based on a traditional fairy tale, the play is bursting with enchantment, featuring a bewitched boy, a giant cockerel, a king lost in a winter forest and a promise never to be broken. Using puppetry, object theatre and original music, this delightful production will capture the hearts of young and old and is the perfect family outing at Christmas. There is also a special art workshop for children aged 7-11 years from 11-12.30 before the theatre event where they can make their own hedgehog prince to take home. Places must be booked in advance.

A special treat for music fans, the West End hit ABBAMANIA graces the Danny Boy Auditorium on Friday 28 December at 8pm. Europe’s leading ABBA tribute band will entertain audiences with their outstanding vocals and superb rendition of all the ABBA classics, from Dancing Queen to Happy New Year! So dust off your platforms and enjoy an unforgettable night with on-site bar and a festive atmosphere.

If you’re still looking for that special gift, the exhibition Close to Home features unique artwork, drawings, craft, jewellery and more and continues in the venue’s galleries.

Tickets for events are available by calling the team on Tel: 02877760650 or via Eventbrite.
