We all know that being outdoors does us good but now there is a wealth of science to back up the mental health benefits of being outside. Join Deborah Mullan, a local Counsellor/Psychotherapist for an experience of nature that leaves you still in mind and steady in heart.
As part of the Swell Festival, join us down at White Rocks Beach as we learn how to slow down, be present to ourselves and nature and learn how to manage our stress and anxiety better. We’ll explore the beach and rocks together and engage creatively with what the beach has to offer. You’ll leave refreshed, energised and with some simple tools to help you in every day life.
Participants, please meet at the main Whiterocks Beach car park at 10am.
Please note that this activity will be going ahead unless there are weather warnings so rain jackets are a must!
This activity is part of our ARTbeat and Causeway Creative Trail initiatives, promoting the arts and wellbeing through our environment.
This project is receiving financial support through Council’s Good Relations Programme. The purpose of the event / activity is to bring people together, using creative arts as a method of connecting people from different community and cultural backgrounds using shared spaces (whether online or in a specific location) so that we can build positive relations using the medium of the creative arts.
