the cabin in the woods (15)

With Avengers Assemble smashing box office records this summer we celebrate the work of Joss Whedon with a screening of this film where five friends go to a remote cabin in the woods. Bad things happen, but if you think you know the story, think again. Written by Joss Whedon and Drew Goddard, who also directs, this is a mind blowing horror film that turns the genre inside out.

As a B feature we will be screening “Hush”, voted one of the five scariest TV episodes of all time and also penned by Joss Whedon.

It’s remarkable to see a main stream movie touching so many fascinating , powerful ideas without losing sight of its prime directive: to scare the socks off its audience – Tom Huddleston, Time Out.
