real deal

The Real Deal marks the reunion of Errol Walsh and Dougie Gough, who founded Ireland’s first ever country rock band Rodeo, bringing the music of The Eagles, Gram Parsons, The Band, Little Feat and others to the attention of the Irish public. Dougie subsequently joined the much loved Mighty Shamrocks while Errol formed funk/R&B/soul band Stagalee before moving on to form tender Mercies and The Coyotes and releasing two award-winning albums. The Real Deal also features Ali McKenzie on bass, Dave Kennedy on drums, topped off with the mildly eccentric and hugely talented Ivan McLernon on pedal-steel and slide, together producing quality original material alongside an eclectic selection of Ry Cooder to gram Parsons and more besides.
