objects in focus: items from the second world war

This insightful talk will explore the impact and main events of the Second World War using items from Limavady’s museum collection as a starting point for discussion. Objects including gas masks, ration books and identity cards will be on display during the session for people to view first-hand.Topics to be discussed include the changing role of women during WW2, the arrival of American troops to Northern Ireland in 1942 and the impact of rationing and the ‘make do and mend’ ethos of the period.
