olympic flame comes to limavady on 4 june

Experience the magic of the Games first hand by lining the streets of the Borough to cheer on the Olympic Torch relay on 4 June. This is a once in a lifetime chance to welcome the Olympic Flame, share in the excitement of the Relay and celebrate the fantastic achievements of the Torchbearers.

So let’s give a big Limavady welcome to the Olympic Torch Runners on 04 June. The runners will be welcomed to the town centre by the outstanding Inishowen Gospel Choir and their accompanying musicians. Inishowen Gospel Choir will be performing outside the Council Offices in Connell Street from 3 – 4pm do please come along and enjoy this wonderful and unique celebration.

All over the Borough busy hands, large and small, have been involved in the Olympic Torch Run Community Art Project. From Magilligan to Limavady to Ballykelly to Greysteel and points in between, schools and community groups have made welcoming banners and flags to wave as they pass along the route through their villages.
