Don’t miss out on a weekend of events for all the family as Limavady Borough celebrates Queen Elizabeth’s Diamond Jubilee.  This Friday 27 July, Limavady Borough’s own Olympics take place at Benone Tourist Complex from 8pm with Family Fun events for children. There may even be a few opportunities for the adults to put their skills to the test in competition with the young people.Local musicians will be providing the entertainment until 9.30pm and barbequed burgers and hot dogs will be on offer, reasonably priced at £3. Children under 6 can eat for free. At 10pm on the same evening the Jubilee Beacon will be lit at Gortmore Viewpoint on the Bishop’s Road for those who wish to drive up for a closer view, however if the weather is kind the beacon should be visible from Benone.
