new donations to the museum collection
Last week, some new objects went on display at Green Lane Museum. They include two cameras, two ceramic mixing bowls, a radio, an iron, a plate, a pair of shoe stretchers and a knitting machine. The items were recently donated by local lady Theresa Harkin. They belonged to her mother Brigid McCluskey who came from Claudy. Relating principally to domestic life in the mid 20th century, the items are a valuable addition to the museum collection. The items will be on display at Green Lane Museum until the end of July. The museum is currently open Saturday-Thursday from 1pm to 4.45pm (closed Fridays). The museum is always keen to collect new items such as these.
